On May 27, 2016, a meeting of the Training and Methodological Association of the Republican Training and Methodological Council (UMO RUMS) was held on groups of specialties of higher and postgraduate education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of the Almaty Technological University.

At the meeting, current issues related to the transition to trilingual education were considered and discussed. On changes in the SES, determining a single coefficient for converting Kazakhstan loans to ECTS, reviewing draft standard curricula according to the SES of higher and postgraduate education in 2016 for groups of specialties of higher and postgraduate education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of ATU, as well as approving the list of disciplines of VOUD for groups of specialties Higher education UMO RUMS MON RK on the basis of ATU for 2017, consideration of textbooks and study guides in the specialties of higher and postgraduate education for assignment of the heading UMO R UMS MES RK.
The first vice-rector of ATU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor B. Nurakhmetov made a report on strategic guidelines for the implementation of trilingual education in the training of specialists in higher and postgraduate education. A detailed analysis of the situation and a phased transition to trilingual education during 2016-2020 was given.
It is noted that within the framework of the implementation of the 79th step of the Nation Plan “100 concrete steps to implement the five institutional reforms of the head of state, Nursultan Nazarbayev,” the Ministry is carrying out tremendous work to introduce trilingual education.
Nurakhmetov B.K. presented to the members of UMO ROMS the ATU Step-by-Step Plan for the transition to trilingual education for 2016-2020, according to which 50% of the subjects are planned to be taught in the language of instruction (Kazakh or Russian), 20% of the subjects are taught in the second language (Russian or Kazakh, respectively) and 30% of subjects in English.
The experience of introducing trilingual education was shared by a member of UMO RUMS, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor, First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector for Innovative Development of InEU Nikitin EB In his speech, Nikitin EB He outlined the main directions of the multilingualism development program at InEU for 2011-2016, presented the main development indicators for 2011-2016, the methods and approaches of trilingual education at InEU: integrated subject and language education, team teaching, language immersion.
It should be noted that teaching in three languages and, as a result, mastering them almost to perfection will contribute to the academic mobility of students, their ability to navigate freely in the international space, in the culture and traditions of different nations, to be communicatively adapted in any environment.
The report “Determining a single coefficient for converting Kazakhstan loans to ECTS for mobility and loan recognition” was made by the head of the postgraduate education department, Ph.D. Kosherbaeva L.M. In his speech, Kosherbaeva L.M. brought the ECTS framework parameters, the mechanism for the allocation of loans of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ECTS loans and vice versa.
D.T.N., Professor, Vice-Rector for the Asset Management of ATU Rskeldiev B.A. He provided detailed information on changes in TUPlah according to the new SES on educational programs for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies, approval of the list of disciplines of VOUD for groups of higher education specialties UUMO ROMS based on ATU for 2017.
The owners of the educational programs took into account the suggestions and wishes of the members of UMO RUMS on the draft standard curricula for groups of specialties of higher and postgraduate education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of ATU.
Head of UMU ATU, Ph.D., Akhmetova N.K. textbooks and teaching aids submitted for assignment of the fingerboard of UMO RUMS MON RK were proposed.
The results of the meeting of UMO RUMS were summed up by the first vice-rector of ATU: “The introduction of trilingual education is the imperative of the time. Within each university, we are now developing plans for this transition. Our presentations are an attempt to share our experience and analyze the situation. If we now try to adjust our actions within the framework of our UMO RUMS, then in the future it will be easier for us to work in a team! ”.
