As you know, the light and food industries constitute the third branch in the agricultural sector. According to international experts, hospitality is one of the fundamental concepts of civilization, which has long turned into an industry. That is why the theme of the International Scientific and Practical Conference, held on October 24-25 at the Almaty Technological University, was chosen “Innovative development of the food, light and hospitality industries.”
The conference was attended by leading foreign scientists and specialists, representatives of the scientific and educational community, specialized enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CIS.
Welcoming remarks addressed to the guests and the plenary session of the conference was opened by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of ATU, Professor Berdan Rskeldiev. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of implementing innovative projects in the food, light industry and hospitality industry, and also noted the relevance of close interaction between science and business.
At the meeting, reports were made by the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Urazbek Chomanov on the topic: “Water activity as one of the indicators of food quality”; Director of the hosiery factory PERI LLP Serik Akhmetov on the topic: “Science-production. Methods and experience of interaction of Almaty Technological University and PERI LLP; Associate Professor of the Department of “Mechanization and Automation of Production Processes” ATU Alexander Tsoi on the topic: “Development of installations and systems for the use of space cold in industry and agriculture”.
On the first day, the conference participants attended four thematic sectional meetings, where they discussed issues of processing agricultural raw materials, the economic side of the food, light industry and hospitality industry, information and communication process control. During the discussions, possible ways of solving the most significant problems and promising areas for further research in these sectors were formulated.
On the second day of the event, the final sectional meeting was held, where the results of work were summarized and diplomas and certificates were awarded to conference participants.
As a result of the conference, it was decided to continue the experience of international scientific cooperation on the development of the food, light and hospitality industries.
